Guidance Automation Becomes the First UK Reseller of OTTO Motors’ Autonomous Mobile Robots

Guidance Automation, an award-winning pioneer in guidance, navigation and control technologies, today announces that it has become the first reseller of OTTO Motors’ autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in the United Kingdom.

OTTO Motors provides autonomous mobile robots for material handling inside manufacturing facilities and warehouses. With over three million hours of driving experience, OTTO is trusted for mission-critical deliveries in the most demanding of industrial environments.

To help manufacturers tackle labour shortages, scale their business, and outperform the competition, Guidance Automation will be adding the OTTO 100, 750 and 1500 AMRs to its product portfolio.

The AMRs will be offered with Guidance Automation’s attachments and support services for a complete solution for material handling automation. Guidance Automation’s attachments include briNgbot and iNcaart, which enable businesses to enhance their AMRs with new functionality. For example, briNgbot is equipped with light-directed picking modules and shelves to transport multiple totes or shipping cartons. Additionally, iNcaart provides a conveyor-top for AMRs for efficient and adaptable payload transfer from conveyor-to-conveyor or vehicle-to-vehicle loads.

Dr. Paul Rivers, Managing Director, Guidance Automation, comments on the partnership: “Using our experience, credibility and expertise to deliver tailored, holistic automation solutions, we are excited to be working with OTTO Motors, and are honoured to be the first UK reseller. Our partnership strives to help break down the barriers to automation, and to showcase the benefits of embracing innovative technologies and functionality to organizations of all sizes.”

“Often, automation is seen as a complex disruption which will completely overhaul existing processes – particularly for SMEs (small and medium enterprises). But logistics businesses do not need to completely understand or have the skills and knowledge to achieve automation success. Instead, we will be doing this for the customer; we will ensure that the software is up to date, maintain the AMRs and provide additional functionality with our top modules, and provide the support required to make the transition to automation seamless.”

“OTTO Motors has been at the forefront of material handling automation and a leader in North America since 2015,” concludes Head of Dealer Relations, Dan Gill, OTTO Motors. “We’re proud to partner with Guidance Automation, to be the first to bring OTTO material handling AMRs to the UK.”
